ABOUT MICK SVINOS

Mick Svinos served a long and successful career with the Royal Engineers in the British Army, becoming a specialist in the design, procurement and delivery of infrastructure and physical security. He has been deployed to theatres of operation with some of the highest threat levels experienced by the British Army over the last few decades. Mick has received numerous official commendations for his work, including a Distinguished Service Commendation for his achievements in Afghanistan.  He has also served in the Defence Security Organisation, representing UK Defence Industry companies globally at the very highest level.

 After leaving the British Army in 2012, he was appointed Sales & Marketing Director for a UK company specialising in delivering infrastructure in to the most challenging of environments. In 2015 he founded Sentinel Group, with an ambition to provide premium security for domestic and corporate clients throughout East Africa. Under Mick’s leadership, the company has rapidly grown from humble beginnings to become a market leader in providing premium physical security solutions, and has expanded its operations extensively throughout Kenya, Uganda & Somaliland.
